  1. Judy has a Bachelor’s Degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona, USA.

Biography:

Start date at XJTLU: March 2008

To date, Judy Fernandez has 17 years of university teaching experience. She has taught Freshman Composition in the United States and Malaysia, and headed the English Department of STIC in Bangkok, Thailand. Judy also has corporate experience. She was a language trainer for HSBC call center in Malaysia and conducted a feasibility for HSBC Corporation Limited in Vietnam. Judy moved to China three years ago and taught at HKU SPACE Global Community College until she joined XJTLU in March 2008.

Currently, she teaches Year 1 EAP courses and heads the Assessments Committee. Her interest areas are alternative assessments and second language acquisition.
