- Nigel graduated with a BA (Honours) degree in English from the University of London in 1986, and completed his training as an English language teacher in the same year. He continued his professional studies more recently by taking an MA in ELT by distance study at the University of Reading, which he completed in 2009.

Originally from the south east of England, Nigel Dixon has spent over twenty years living and teaching English in various countries in the Middle East and Asia, as well as in the UK. He most recently worked in Indonesia where he trained students who went on to study on university courses in the UK, Australia and other western countries. This is his first experience of working in China, but he believes that his experience in a range of contexts will help him to equip Chinese students with the skills they need for academic study through the medium of English.
