The XJTLU Staff Newsletter, founded in April of 2009, was a monthly publication containing university news and notices, updates from Liverpool and the UK, information about living in China, and personal interviews and features. Designed to keep staff informed and engaged, the Newsletter helped to create a vibrant working environment for professionals. The Newsletter was produced by the Brand and Marketing office, with contributions from University of Liverpool Press Office, and staff members.
 The newsletter is no longer in production but its contents are now incorporated within 'The Exchange Supplement'.

The WAY TO XJTLU, founded in July of 2009, is a quarterly news magazine containing university news , personal interviews , staff biography, and features on life in China and Liverpool. The magazine aims to give a comprehensive report on the university and its people. The WAY TO XJTLU is produced by the Brand and Marketing office, with contributions from XJTLU staff members and students.

The Exchange is a monthly English newspaper of the university, containing university news and notices, updates from Liverpool and the UK, information about living in China, and personal interviews and features. Since May 2010, the newspaper has started cooperation with Dushu Lake Higher Education Town Administrative Office,  upgrading this university newspaper into a regional quality newspaper. 
 

Currently, The Exchange is circulated within Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District as well as several SIP divisions, expanding its coverage to  regional news, events, etc.. The Exchange newspaper is produced by the Brand and Marketing office, with contributions from SEID members.

The Research newsletter is a monthly publication,which is run to showcase XJTLU’s current research focus and progress. It contains a highlight of the month, any new research policies and news related to the relevant fields.  It is compiled by the Research and postgraduate office with contributions from all research staff and is produced in both Chinese and English language.

Surfzone, another monthly production, is entirely produced by students of XJTLU. It is a fun magazine that features interviews with people involved with the university and other things like columns from students and competitions.

Warden, a Chinese magazine sponsored by Chinese Cultural Teaching Centre (CCTC), XJTLU, and edited mainly by a wide ranges of student clubs such as EOS Photographing Society, Weiyang Literature Society, Chinese Classic Literature Society, Film Society, A-design Society,  is aimed at integrating Chinese and western culture,spreading humanistic spirit, and enhancing students’ overall quality. The magazine Warden will be issued twice or three times per year.
