Computer systems affect every part of our daily lives and are used by every conceivable type of organisation. These systems are highly interdisciplinary with historical roots in mathematics, physics and electronics. Over the years, computer scientists and software engineers have remained at the cutting-edge by creating more intelligent and effective solutions to complex problems.
The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering equips its students with a broad knowledge of computer-based systems and the technical skills to work in research, development or technical support. Students learn how to use their skills creatively to solve practical problems, as well as learn how cutting-edge computer technology is developed.
Our highly qualified staff members have a diverse range of international experience in teaching, research and working with industry, which, together with our active research and business interactions, benefit our students by enhancing their learning experience and employability.
