"Imagining the Next 10 Years in Learning and Teaching"

Speakers

Etienne and Beverly Wenger-Trayner are internationally renowned social learning theorists and consultants. Their pioneering work in the field of social learning has been influential in such diverse fields as business, government, international development, healthcare, and education. Their consulting practice specialises in contexts where there are large-scale social learning challenges. They bring people together across organisations, geography, sectors, and disciplines to address complex problems.

Etienne is known for his seminal work on communities of practice, and is currently Visiting Professor at the University of Brighton. Beverly is known for her work with international organisations including cross-boundary processes and the use of new technologies. Together they are developing and publishing conceptual frameworks and practices to address the learning challenges facing public and private organisations today.

Where to go when you arrive

If you are arriving on Wednesday 6 April for the pre-colloquium talk and dinner we will let you know via email where the dinner will take place. If you are arriving on Thursday for the pre-workshop and colloquium, please go directly to the ground floor of the Central Building at the University to register your attendance.

Food and drink

Tea, coffee, and water will be available all day. You are welcome to bring your own water bottle/container and refill regularly from the water dispensers dotted around the area. You will be provided with meal coupons for our Parfait Staff cafeteria in your welcome pack.
