As an integral part of the educational mission of XJTLU, the Student Affairs Office plays a vital role in creating and maintaining a dynamic and harmonious campus environment through a series student services and support. The work of SA-Office follows the key principle of “Student Autonomy, with Service and Guidance from the University”. There are some sub-functional parts to deal with various student affairs.
Mission and responsibilities
The One Stop Student Service Centre is committed in providing excellent services to students. It covers services like consultancy, on-campus affairs and other related issues. Students can find the solutions to most problems here.
Mental Health Counseling and Development provides support to students with any mental health difficulties by facilitating their ability to study successfully.
Student Organizations & Activities Supporting Team. The Student Union and AOSS (Association of Student Societies) are the two main student autonomous organizations of XJTLU, both established in 2006. The Student Union aims at enriching campus culture, defending student’s rights and providing an important platform between the university and the students. AOSS consists of all the university student clubs. It aims to provide services, organise and monitor student club activities, and encourage a healthy campus culture.
The Sports & Fitness Supporting Team, with assistance from Physical Education Centre, is dedicated to providing as much support as possible for a variety of sports clubs. We strive to keep students fit and enrich campus life by organising various activities.
Accommodation & Dining Supporting Team aims to build up anideal living and learning environment through ongoing staff support and active workshops.
Overseas Students Affairs & Hong Kong Macao, Taiwan Students Supporting Team. XJTLU provides a unique environment for non-local students. Campus life here is very dynamic; there are many school activities during which they can make friends with Chinese students and get involved in student societies, sports events and study groups. The team is also responsible for 2+2/4+1 affairs and student exchange programs.
