Research Institute of Industrial Design and 3D Printing

Research areas

The Research Institute for Industrial Design and 3D Printing targets a growing trend in the development and use of additive manufacturing or three-dimensional printing in the major industries.

The Institute’s main objective is to address the fundamental limitations (layer-by-layer fabrication, weak material properties, low functional strength, etc.) and develop new processes and functional materials for: 3D bio-printing, design for printing, and food printing to advance its sciences, processes, and technological applications to the local key industries including, but not limited to consumer electronic products, biomedical and pharmaceutical, precision engineering, and food industry.
