摘要:

Reticular chemistry, which was recently coined and pioneered by Prof. Omar Yaghi and Prof. Michael O’Keeffe in 2005, is now quickly forming an important branch of material chemistry. The word “reticular” means “net- like”. Reticular chemistry is defined as the chemistry to synthesize as well as utilize materials with predetermined “net-like” structures. Diverse molecular building blocks, such as organic molecules, inorganic clusters, polymer segments and even peptide etc., can be judiciously selected and combined to form structures which are possible to be conceived. Within a decade, more than 20,000 different “net-like” materials have been reported, including Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs), Covalent-Organic Frameworks (COFs), Zeolitic Imidazolate Frameworks (ZIFs), and Porous Organic Cages (POCs). Wide range of applications of such materials are developing to cope with challenges in our current society. To date, MOFs etc. have been used in applications, such as CO2 capture, methane/hydrogen storage, catalysis, sensing and drug delivery.
