If you've visited the campus during the last several years, you know that we are continually expanding to meet the demands of our increasing student population, as well as the requirements of our academic staff and researchers.
Excellent support and resource facilities housed on the North Campus, designed by internationally recognised architecture firm Perkins+Will.
It's not only our staff and students who are recognised for their excellence. Our iconic Central Building has received accolades from the world of architecture and real estate. In 2014, it was nominated in the World Architecture Festival and took the Special Jury Award at the MIPIM Asia Awards.
Designed by renowned architectural firm, Aedas, the building was based on a concept that used locally renowned Taihu stone as its inspiration. It is now one of the most iconic buildings in Suzhou Industrial Park and the wider Jiangsu area.
Construction of the South Campus development is well underway, with phase one set for completion in 2016/17. The new facilities will include teaching and research space for humanities and social sciences, industrial design, and interdisciplinary sciences. The campus will also include a world-class research centre, studios and study space, as well as catering facilities and a central park area.
Upon completion of this exciting development, the University will have capacity for 15,000 students.
