The Implementation of the Clean Water Act

Professor Jack Tuholske
Vermont Law School

Professor Tuholske will use a case study of a Clean Water Act citizen suit by farmers in southeastern Montana concerned about pollution of their irrigation water. The case was brought in 2000 against a coal bed methane natural gas development. The lecture will cover client relations, case strategy, working with experts, legal proceedings at trial and appellate level, and eventual development of SEP and settlement of the case after liability was established.”
