It takes an hour in the morning to prepare all the food for breakfast, and another hour in the afternoon before the lunch rush.

Our bestselling hot food items are baozi (a meat or vegetable steamed bun), sausages and shou-zhua-bing (a crispy filled pancake).

Each pancake takes around 3 minutes to cook, depending on the heat of the pan. We cook an egg into the pancake, and then add extra toppings like lettuce, meat and a range of hot, sour or sweet sauces and spices.

I have been working here with my husband for almost 4 years, but he doesn’t want to be in the picture because he thinks I look better than him! We are so pleasantly surprised how polite and cute all the student and staff customers at XJTLU are.
