AIoT+X Pathways

Undergraduate Education for the Internet of Intelligence

AIoT+X Pathways connect core technical learning with real-world application directions. Students build foundations in AI, IoT systems, networks, hardware, cybersecurity, and project-based innovation, and then apply these capabilities to autonomous/industrial systems or human-centric/healthcare systems.

AIoT+X Pathways at a Glance

The pathway is built on four technical core tracks, two application pathways, and project-based integration through Pathway Studio, Final Year Project, and FYP Extension.

AIoT+X Learning Model

AIoT+X is not simply adding AI courses to an IoT curriculum. It is a pathway-based learning model that helps students integrate sensing, connectivity, computing, AI, cybersecurity, and domain applications to solve real-world problems.

Students need to understand how data is collected, how models are trained, how systems are deployed, how results are validated, and how technology serves real users and industrial value.

AIoT+X Pathways: Four-Year Learning Journey

The AIoT+X Pathways combine technical core learning with pathway-based application directions. Students first build foundational capabilities in programming, engineering, circuits, networks, systems, intelligence, and security. They then apply these capabilities to project-based learning in autonomous/industrial systems or human-centric/healthcare systems.

Progressive learning from Foundation → IoT Engineering → AIoT Integration → System Deployment

Core Technical Tracks

Four foundational tracks provide the technical backbone for all pathway specialisations. Each track builds progressively from fundamentals to advanced applications.

Pathway Application Directions

After completing core technical tracks, students choose one of two application pathways based on their interests and career goals. Both pathways are supported by a cross-cutting cybersecurity and trustworthy AI layer.

Syntegrative Project Learning

Students may choose different application tracks under Pathway A or Pathway B according to their interests. All projects are supported by the four core technical tracks and should address security, trustworthiness, deployment feasibility, and human-centred value.

Capabilities & Career Directions

Through the AIoT+X Pathways, students develop the ability to connect AI, IoT systems, cybersecurity, and real-world applications. These capabilities support future careers across a wide spectrum of technology domains.
