We are proud of the fact that the English Language Centre is the only EAP provider outside of the UK that holds BALEAP accreditation (British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes). The ELC currently has 212 staff and over 4000 students in Year 1 alone. The Modern Languages Centre has 41 staff and about 600 students in Year 1 engaged in the study of Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish. For the study of Chinese, sited in the beautiful ancient-modern city of Suzhou we also feel proud to tell you that XJTLU is an official HSK Testing Centre, while in Japanese and Spanish we can also offer you summer immersion courses in Tokyo and Buenos Aires respectively with new Iberian destinations for Spanish already being added.
