Jie Fei Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Dr. Jie Fei is currently an Associate Professor in Department of Pure Mathematics of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He received his Ph.D. from Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (now renamed University of Chinese Academy of Sciences) in 2011. He has worked in Mathematics and Physics Center and Department of Mathematical Sciences of XJTLU since 2011.

Dr. Jie Fei has delivered public mathematical elementary courses including calculus and linear algebra to year one students since he joined XJTLU. He has a wealth of teaching experience in the field of calculus teaching. He has served as the module leader of the first year calculus modules since 2013, and has participated in a number of teaching reform projects of calculus.

Dr. Jie Fei’s research interests are mainly on Global Differential Geometry and Geometry of Submanifolds in Symmetric Spaces. His research project “Geometry of Submanifolds in Complex Grassmann Manifolds” was funded by Youth Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2015. He has published about a dozen papers in well-known core academic journals, such as Journal of Geometry and Physics, Science China Mathematics and Journal of Geometric Analysis.
