活动简介

Is it possible to translate Thai conservative sentiment? If so, how does translation contribute to an appreciation of Thai conservatism as an appreciation of Thai conservatism as an internally logical worldview? In discussing these questions, Dr Michael Connors, co-editor of forthcoming translation collection Thai Politics in Translation: Monarchy, Democracy and the Supra-constitution (NIAS Press, 2021) provides a historical perspective on the Thai monarchy and recent demands for reform.
