9月12日,西交利物浦大学理学院顺利举办了本科生暑期科研项目(Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship,简称 SURF)海报展示活动。当天,理学院大楼化身为交流与探索的学术空间,共有来自全校的200余名本科生参与,展示了66项科研成果,充分体现了学生们的研究兴趣与学术潜能。
在经过严格的学术评审后,共有13个项目获得“优秀海报奖”,其中2个项目荣获“学院优胜奖”。
来自理学院生物科学与生物信息学系的陈骏博士是本次活动的负责老师。他表示SURF海报展汇聚了一批通过严格筛选、在研究原创性和质量上表现突出的优秀学生。此次活动不仅展示了他们整个夏天的辛勤努力,也帮助他们提升了科研汇报的自信心,增强了接受反馈和交流的能力。
同学们在活动中深入展示了各自的研究成果与科学思考,课题涵盖计算生物学、化学、健康科学和环境科学等多个前沿领域。通过这些分享,他们不仅展现了扎实的科研积累和学科理解,也体现了对未来科学探索的热情与创新精神。
理学院院长John Moraros教授也对活动的重要意义进行了总结,他表示此次活动不仅展现了理学院本科生的研究成果,也进一步体现了学院和学校在为学生提供实践性科研体验、培养学术与职业能力方面的努力。
“SURF海报展活动展现了本科生们的创造力和投入精神,这正是理学院积极营造科研氛围的重要体现。我们的学生就是未来科研的力量,他们通过这样的机会学习如何在学术场合表达和交流自己的想法,这对他们未来的发展极为宝贵。像SURF这样的项目能够激发学生的长期兴趣,并为他们未来成长为创新者和引领者奠定基础。”
