Knowledge and skills

By the time you graduate from the BSc Information Management and Information Systems programme, you will:

Dr Ou (Owen) Liu, is an Associate Professor in Information Management and Information Systems in International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. His current research interests include business intelligence/analytics, enterprise systems and security, mobile computing, social networks, and project management. He has published more than 40 refereed articles in journals, including Decision Support Systems, European Journal of Operational Research, IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, Expert Systems with Applications, and Communications of the Association for Information Systems, among others. Before he joined Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Dr Liu was an Assistant Professor of Information Systems at Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also has industrial experience in developing the research and development project management system for the National Science Foundation of China, and a scholars’ social network, ScholarMate, which involves big data analytics of social media.
