The Belt and Road Division (Central and Eastern Europe) was officially launched in Budapest, Hungary.

The Belt and Road Division (Singapore) was officially established in Singapore.
III. Core Functions
The Division implements XJTLU 3.0’s ecosystem-driven education philosophy of integrating industry, academia, research, government, and society. Built upon a five-in-one model of “industry, education, research, parks, and finance” it has established four core functional pillars:
- Education Linkage: Delivering joint international talent development programmes and customised corporate training to cultivate practice-oriented professionals for global expansion.
- Industry Services: Providing investment advisory, government liaison, and partner matching to support the localisation of industrial value chains.
- Innovation Incubation: Driven by technological innovation, connecting global R&D resources with early-stage capital, while offering incubation and investment banking–related support for tech ventures.
- Research & Insights: Conducting country-specific studies and industry trend analysis, and providing first-hand insights through research publications and business delegations.

On 13 May 2024, the Belt and Road Division (Central and Eastern Europe) of the College of Industry-Entrepreneurs at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) was officially inaugurated and commenced operations in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.

On 13 April 2026, marking the 20th anniversary of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), the inauguration ceremony of the Belt and Road Division (Singapore) of the College of Industry-Entrepreneurs was held at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). The event represents a significant milestone in XJTLU’s global industrial ecosystem strategy, marking the official launch of a new phase in which the University connects education with industry and empowers global expansion through integrated services, while deepening its presence in Southeast Asia in support of the Belt and Road Initiative.

On 13 April 2026, in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), the establishment ceremony of the Belt and Road Division (Singapore) of the College of Industry-Entrepreneurs was held at Singapore Institute of Management (SIM). This ceremony marks an important milestone in XJTLU’s global industrial ecosystem layout, signifying the official launch of a new journey for XJTLU to connect education with industry, empower enterprises going global through professional services, take root deeply in Southeast Asia, and serve the national Belt and Road Initiative.

I. Overview
The Belt and Road Division of the College of Industry-Entrepreneurs at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) is established in response to the national Belt and Road Initiative and the ongoing restructuring of global industrial systems. It aims to support the high-quality global expansion of Chinese enterprises by building an integrated global ecosystem platform that combines industry and education.
The Division is committed to exploring innovative international development models for Chinese universities through the integration of industry, academia, and research. By leveraging global industrial resources alongside XJTLU’s strengths in international talent development, it supports enterprises in achieving full-cycle overseas growth—from market entry to sustainable development.
At the same time, the Division supports international partners in entering the Chinese market by providing access and facilitation, enabling cross-border collaboration and resource connectivity, and fostering a two-way flow of talent, technology, and industrial opportunities.
