Dormitories for students in both XJTLU SIP Campus and XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) are provided and managed by independent accommodation providers, Dushu Lake Science and Education Development Co., Ltd, and Taicang Cultural and Educational Investment Group respectively. To ensure quality services and support are provided to students, professional property management companies are hired by the accommodation providers to cater to diverse needs.
All dormitory rooms, which were built in different years, are equipped with bathrooms, furniture, air-conditioning, water heaters, public laundry rooms and so on to cater to students’ day to day requirements. Outside the dormitory area, public transportation, restaurants/canteens, stores, hospitals, banks, gymnasiums, and libraries are within students’ easy reach.
Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District, where XJTLU’s SIP campus is located, is also home to other institutions, for example, Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus, SKEMA Business School, Suzhou Centennial College, and the University of Sydney Centre in China. Students are encouraged to integrate with students of other institutions in a multicultural community.
