Key Instructions for Grade/Transcript Submission

Please note:

  • All transcripts listed below must be final official results. If a provisional transcript is submitted, the admissions team will push it back, and the candidate must resubmit as soon as obtaining the official transcript.
  • All types of transcripts must be verified. Since verification methods vary by examination types, and the processing time for score-sending requests is determined by the respective examination boards, the time required for transcript review may differ. To save waiting time, with your consent, you may provide your personal account information for the relevant international course examination websites to the admissions team to facilitate faster verification.
  • If your examination type is not listed, please contact the team for confirmation.

 

Language Proficiency Transcripts:

  1. Gaokao pathway students:No language proficiency transcript (e.g., IELTS) is required.
  2. International curriculum (non-Gaokao) students:
  • If all high school years were completed in an English-speaking country: No language proficiency transcript is required, but passport visa pages and entry/exit records must be provided.
  • If high school studies were completed within China (including partially completed in China): A valid language proficiency transcript is required. Besides, TOEFL test takers must have their scores sent directly to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University through the official TOEFL service.

 

Type 1: Gaokao Pathway Students

  1. A complete transcript downloaded from the official examination authority website or Gaokao inquiry mini-program must be submitted (all pages complete, nothing missing). If the transcript contains a verification QR code, it must be clearly visible. Shanghai candidates must provide transcripts for both the three major subjects and the three selected subjects.
  2. The admissions team will verify the Gaokao transcript. You may be asked to provide a mobile verification code or dynamic password for this purpose. Thank you for your understanding.

Type 2: AP Students

  1. Must submit: Complete high school transcript, high school diploma or certificate, and proof of scores from 3 AP exams taken, as provided by College Board.
  2. At the same time, please log into your College Board AP account and request that your scores be sent to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

Type 3: A-Level Students

  1. Must submit: A-Level certificate, AS exam results, and proof of scores from 3 A2 exams.
  2. Students who took A-Level exams through Pearson Edexcel should proactively contact progression@pearson.com to request that scores be sent via email to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (sla-admissions@xjtlu.edu.cn); alternatively, you may use the online form at https://qualifications.pearson.com/en/support/Services/certificate-services.htmlto request that scores be sent to XJTLU.

Type 4: IB Students

  1. Must submit: Official IBO transcript and IB diploma/certificate.
  2. Please request through the IBO official website that your scores be sent to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University.

Type 5: DSE Students

  1. Must submit: Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) transcript.
  2. Please request through the official channels of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) that a paper transcript be sent to Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University at the following address: Liverpool Programme Team, Office 379, Foundation Building, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, 111 Ren’ai Road, Suzhou Industrial Park, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China (Tel: 0512-81888383).
  3. Please note: Applicants who are Hong Kong permanent residents may apply for XJTLU undergraduate programmes through the designated registration website of the “Mainland Universities Scheme for Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Students”. For enquiries, please call 0512-88161889.

Type 6: Canadian Curriculum Students

  1. Please indicate the location(s) where you completed your high school studies. If at least one academic year was completed in Canada, please provide a complete high school transcript, high school diploma, and passport visa pages and entry/exit records.
  2. If all high school years were completed within China, in addition to submitting a complete high school transcript, please also provide proof of standardized test scores (e.g., AP, ACT, if available) and request that scores be sent to the university.

Type 7: Australian Curriculum Students

  1. Please submit a complete high school transcript and high school diploma.
  2. Please provide your ATAR rank score, along with a certified copy containing a QR code.

Type 8: New Zealand Curriculum Students

  1. Must submit: NCEA Level 3 certificate and an electronic New Zealand academic record.

Type 9: International Foundation Students

  1. Must submit: Complete high school transcript and foundation programme transcript (completion letter).
  2. At the same time, please contact your institution and request that scores be sent to SLA-admissions@xjtlu.edu.cn.

Type 10: Students with Previous Undergraduate Studies Overseas

  1. Must submit: Complete high school transcript (including the standardized test scores mentioned above) and university-level transcript.
