Abstract

We're excited to have you offer a taster session for year one students. This hands-on exploration of capturing real-life moments through photography. In this workshop, we'll start with the basics, focusing on simple techniques to help you begin telling stories with your camera/phone. We'll cover fundamental concepts of documentary in an easy-to-understand way, and provide plenty of opportunities for practice and feedback. This is a great chance to dip your toes into the world of documentaries and discover how to observe our world. Let's get started and have fun exploring your creativity!

Speaker

Kaisi Wang (Tracy) is a documentary filmmaker, producer, scriptwriter, and camerawoman who has worked in the media industry for six years within a wide range of video production. She had been directing and writing for radio programs, TV reality shows, TV commercials, and documentary films. She set up a production company in 2016 and worked on project management and promotion as a producer. Her experiences would help students to understand filmmaking skills, media business, and the video market from an international perspective.
