2026 marks the 20th anniversary of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). To celebrate, XJTLU, in collaboration with the Suzhou Industrial Park Public Cultural Center and Suzhou Metro, launches the XJTLU 20th Anniversary Visual Memory Photo Exhibition, themed “Fusion Visions”.
Using light and shadow as the medium, it aims to capture the multifaceted aspects of XJTLU’s two-decade “Syntegration+” educational practice and showcase the glorious journey of XJTLU and Suzhou Industrial Park progressing hand in hand.
Submissions are now open! We welcome all partners, both within and outside the University, to participate. Selected works will be featured in offline and online exhibitions in May 2026. Contributors stand a chance to receive limited-edition XJTLU 20th Anniversary merchandise. Stay tuned!
Collection Theme 1: 「20 Years of Symbiosis」
Target participants: All individuals
We hope to connect the glorious 20-year journey of XJTLU and Suzhou – from site selection and establishment to current symbiotic prosperity – through a series of precious images.
Submission works can focus on the following three directions:
① Historical photos of XJTLU and Suzhou from the past 20 years
② Authentic scenes of current collaboration and campus interactions: such as XJTLU staff and students participating in Suzhou international cultural exchange activities; scenes from AI labs and cutting-edge research facilities at the University and Suzhou; XJTLU staff and student clubs engaging in community science lectures, cultural performances, etc.
③ Creative imagery of “Future Integration of XJTLU and Suzhou” using AI technology. We encourage participants to use their own original photographs as a starting point, and then creatively reinterpret or transform them using AI tools to envision the future of XJTLU and Suzhou.
Collection Theme 2: 「In Sync with XJTLU」
Target participants: All members of the XJTLU community (staff, students, alumni, parents, etc.)
This is where our most genuine joys and sorrows, and our most ardent dreams, are stored: concentrating on work or research in the library or lab, sharing laughter with friends in the canteen, a photo with a campus corner during a walk, happy times at campus events, toasting with classmates or colleagues after completing a task, or unforgettable moments celebrating with family and friends at opening or graduation ceremonies...
No matter where you are, or which year your story began, we welcome you to share the moment that made you feel “in sync with XJTLU”.
