As spring blooms in the gentle month of April, the School of Internet of Things warmly kicked off its Year-1 Welcome Gala and Student Team-building Activity on 25 April. Faculty and students gathered by Yangcheng Lake to embrace a wonderful spring rendezvous.
A soft breeze brushed the lakeside, filled with a warm and lively festive atmosphere. The delightful BBQ emitted inviting aromas, where everyone sat around the grill and savored delicious food to their hearts’ content. In leisure moments, fun board games got underway and immersive tech handicraft experiences unfolded, bringing together creativity and joy and creating a warm and vibrant atmosphere. Faculty and students chatted freely and interacted joyfully, bridging the distance between one another amid relaxation, and capturing countless warm and lively moments.
During the event, faculty combined professional characteristics to offer students thoughtful advice on three-year undergraduate study planning and scientific research development. They provided targeted guidance and heartfelt expectations covering coursework, practical exploration, introductory research training and comprehensive competency improvement, clarifying the direction for students’ future growth. Meanwhile, the school officially launched the SE Project (Syntegrative Education Project). Serving as a development platform, the project supports students in deepening professional knowledge, honing practical skills, and achieving growth through hands-on practice.
Laughter and warmth filled the occasion, uniting everyone for a new journey ahead. The event not only deepened faculty-student bonds but also strengthened the school’s cohesion, allowing every IoT student to truly experience the warmth and sense of belonging of the big family. May all students carry this warmth and expectation, embark on their academic journey with full enthusiasm, and shine brightly in the promising field of Internet of Things.
