The event will focus on the University's strategic development and key initiatives for the future.
The year 2026 marks the beginning of China's 15th Five-Year Plan and the 20th anniversary of Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU). As China advances towards its goal of becoming a leading nation in education by 2035, higher education is embracing new opportunities for development. Building on twenty years of educational practice, XJTLU remains committed to taking root in China, integrating China’s strengths and the wider world, and embracing the future. Guided by the University's 15th Five-Year Plan and its long-term strategic goals for 2035, XJTLU will continue to advance its vision of the Future University, promote future learning and global education, and foster an innovation-driven social ecosystem.
The programme will feature a keynote address, strategic partnership announcements, project signings and launch ceremonies, alongside presentations highlighting the University's innovative practices and achievements in advancing the Future University, fostering industry–academia–research collaboration and developing an innovation-driven ecosystem. Key highlights will include the announcement of the XJTLU–CP Group strategic partnership; the signing of an agreement and unveiling of the XIPU Institute for Brain-Inspired Cognition and Embodied Intelligence Innovation; the establishment of the Centre of Excellence for AI-Driven Therapeutics; and the celebration of the third anniversary of XJTLU College of Industry-Entrepreneurs, alongside the launch of the XJTLU X-Eco Mall. In addition, the University will share its innovative practices and achievements and unveil the XJTLU Spirit.
