In June 2012, XJTLU hosted the Corpus Technologies and Applied Linguistics International Conference. Colleagues from the Language Centre (formally ELC) and the Department of English, Culture and Communication worked together with the Corpus Linguistics Society of China to make the conference a great success.
The proceedings volume, edited by Dr. Bin Zou, Dr. Simon Smith and Prof. Michael Hoey has now been published under the title: Corpus Linguistics in Chinese contexts.
