This November, international students embarked on an engaging field trip to Qionglong Mountain and Xishan Island, organised by the Chinese Division of the School of Languages. Guided by Chinese lecturers, students explored the beauty of Suzhou's autumn, enjoying a scenic hike amidst vibrant fall foliage, a traditional lunch, and a fun tangerine-picking experience. They learned about local culture while creating lasting memories together.
Cultural Exploration and Autumn Vibes
The trip provided students with a perfect opportunity to experience the cultural richness of Suzhou and enjoy its seasonal beauty. Students gathered for a hike up Qionglong Mountain, where they were captivated by the vibrant autumn colours, and learned about the local history and customs from their guides. The day was filled with fun, educational moments, including the traditional practice of tangerine picking, offering a hands-on cultural experience.
