IBSS Dr Fangfang Hou’s Research Recognised as 2023 Top Cited Article

Recently, a research paper by Dr Fangfang Hou from the Department of Intelligent Operations and Marketing (IOM) at International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), has been recognised as a 2023 Top Cited Article by the Information Systems Journal (ABS 4*), a leading publication in information systems research. This accolade is awarded to publications from 1 January to 31 December 2023 that demonstrate exceptional scholarly impact through citations.

Dr Hou’s paper, centred on Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA), offers a groundbreaking framework for identifying and interpreting moderating influences in configurational research. By addressing methodological gaps in analysing complex managerial issues, the study advances QCA theory and equips researchers and practitioners across disciplines with tools to decode multifaceted organisational phenomena.

The Information Systems Journal, a top-tier academic publication in information systems research, holds an ABS 4 rating—a marker of its position within the top 5% of global journals for rigour and impact. This recognition underscores IBSS at XJTLU’s growing prominence in cutting-edge research on operational management and digital innovation.
