28 Mar 2025

The School of Science is proud to share that three of our esteemed faculty members have been recognized by Elsevier as among the Most Highly Cited Chinese Researchers of 2024. Out of just seven scholars from our entire university to receive this honor, three come from our very own School—an achievement that speaks volumes about the impact of their outstanding research.

Their dedication to advancing knowledge, pushing the boundaries of science, and mentoring the next generation of undergraduate and postgraduate researchers has earned them this high distinction and brought global recognition to our School of Science and XJTLU. Their research work inspires us all, and I hope it will encourage more of our faculty members to join them on this prestigious list in the years to come.

Professor John Moraros, Dean, School of Science stated “I wish to extend my warm congratulations to our three distinguished colleagues, Professor Allan Kaluev, Professor Eyad Elkor and Dr. Shuihua Wang. Their accomplishment is well deserved and a credit to them, our School and XJTLU. To our students, I extend a warm invitation: research is at the heart of scientific discover, and there is no better time to get involved than now. Whether you are just beginning your academic journey as one of our undergraduate students or looking to deepen your expertise as a postgraduate student (Masters and PhD), our faculty—both those three recognized today and the many other outstanding scholars in our School—are eager to guide you in meaningful, cutting-edge research that will help prepare you as young scientists and ensure your professional growth and advancement.”
