On 7th July, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) welcomed a delegation of 11 South African university students participating in the 2025 "Chinese Bridge" cultural exchange programme. The group was led by Professor Wenhong Dai, Chinese Dean of the Confucius Classroom at South Africa’s Centre for Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange.
As an official HSK test centre, XJTLU’s Chinese Language Division organised a dedicated HSK examination session for the delegation. Language Lecturer Sijia Zhou introduced the distinctive features and methodology of XJTLU's Chinese language programme with students. The visit concluded with a facilitated discussion between Chinese and South African student representatives.
