International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University has achieved remarkable success at the XIPU AI for Education Innovation Competition 2025. Demonstrating exceptional creativity and practical expertise in AI-enabled educational innovation, IBSS academics, professional service staff and students won multiple awards across different competition tracks. The school was also presented with the Outstanding Engagement Award, recognising its active participation and significant contributions to the competition.

The competition aims to promote the integration of artificial intelligence with modern education, beinbging together leading educators and students to explore innovative applications of AI in teaching, administration, and a variety of educational scenarios. After rigorous evaluation by a professional panel, IBSS contestants stood out from numerous teams, winning two First Prizes, two Second Prizes, and one Third Prize, achieving an exceptional overall result.
Among the award-winning entries, two teams claimed highly competitive First Prizes:
First Prize | Faculty Track (Teaching – Non-STEM)

Project Description: This project targets to develop a programme-level Holistic AI Tutor for Year 2 BA Marketing students on the XIPU AI Agent Platform. Designed as a multi-agent learning ecosystem, it provides one-stop support across module learning, research opportunities, internships and career planning, business competitions, and student activities. The system clarifies student questions, classifies query types, identifies learning depth using Bloom’s taxonomy, retrieves relevant knowledge through RAG, personalises responses based on chat history, and polishes outputs for clarity and academic quality. It supports independent learning, critical thinking, and academic planning, while offering a scalable model for programme-level AI integration across IBSS and the wider university

Project Description: “IBSS Trading Floor Smart Copilot” is an AI-powered intelligent management assistant developed on the XIPU AI Agent Platform, designed to support the smart operation and coordination of the IBSS Trading Floor. By integrating database inquiries, laboratory booking, event management, and cross-department coordination into a unified conversational interface, the system uses multi-node conversation flows, intent recognition, and user profiling to deliver personalised, efficient support. The project provides operational guidance for financial databases, automatically classifies activity requests, consolidates information, and generates structured workflow outputs, significantly improving operational efficiency. It offers a scalable and replicable AI-driven solution for smart laboratory and teaching space management.

In addition to these individual achievements, IBSS received the Outstanding Engagement Award, recognising the School’s organisational efforts, wide participation, and positive competitive spirit throughout the competition. The award reflects IBSS’s commitment to educational technology innovation and talent development.
Bingyi Fan, a student award winner, commented:
“This competition offered me a precious platform to combine AI technology with educational innovation. I truly appreciated the professional guidance and supportive atmosphere at IBSS, which motivated me to keep exploring interdisciplinary innovation and polishing my practical abilities.”
Adhering to the principles of innovation, integration, and excellence, IBSS continues to promote the integration of digital technology with higher education. The school encourages faculty, staff, and students to participate in educational innovation competitions, experiment with new teaching approaches, and develop practical skills. Looking ahead, IBSS will focus on digital transformation in education, leverage technological advantages to enhance teaching quality, and cultivate innovative, globally competitive talent.
