As the new academic year begins, the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at XJTLU hosted its highly anticipated Campus Tour for 2026-entry students last weekend. As a key participating school in the Buddy Programme Campus Tour, IBSS held four dedicated sessions over two days, covering all eight of the School's undergraduate programmes and attracting a large number of first-year students, including many international students.

The four IBSS sessions were scheduled at different times across the two days, allowing students to participate flexibly around their own schedules. The event covered all eight IBSS undergraduate programmes, including Accounting, Digital and Intelligent Marketing, Economics, Economics and Finance, Business Administration, Information Management and Information Systems, International Business with a Language, and Human Resource Management and People Analytics. Each programme had a dedicated consultation booth, where programme directors, teaching staff, and senior students answered questions on curriculum design, career pathways, and internship opportunities. The event also showcased IBSS's international character, with many international students taking part.

To enhance engagement and experience, IBSS incorporated a range of interactive activities into the Campus Tour. Students who completed the interactive challenges received exclusive souvenirs prepared by IBSS and individual programmes. An international first-year student from Indonesia said: "This is the first time I've gained such a comprehensive understanding of the School's programmes. Through conversations with teachers and senior students, I've developed a strong interest in International Business and I'm very excited about my future studies."

The success of the Campus Tour would not have been possible without the strong support of the Buddy Programme Executive Committee and all parties involved. As one of XJTLU's four main education systems, the Buddy Programme was launched in 2009 and has always been committed to supporting junior students at home and abroad through peer-to-peer mentoring. This Campus Tour marked the first major interaction between Buddies and first-year students, and served as an excellent opportunity for newcomers to familiarise themselves with the campus and integrate into the XJTLU community. Dr Yingchan Luo, Director of Undergraduate Studies at IBSS, said: "Through events like this, we hope students can not only learn about IBSS's programmes and academic resources, but also feel the warmth and vitality of the School. It is very encouraging to see so many students actively participating and asking questions."

With the Campus Tour drawing to a close, the 2026-entry students are about to embark on their academic journey at IBSS. The School will continue to provide students with high-quality educational resources and comprehensive support, helping every student explore infinite possibilities in the field of business.
