On 18 September 2026, the graduation ceremony for the CRRC Business Administration Training Programme took place at the South Campus of Xi’an Jiaotong‑Liverpool University (XJTLU). More than 60 management participants from various subsidiaries of CRRC gathered at XJTLU to mark the successful completion of the programme.

The ceremony was hosted by Dr Jianghang Chen, Academic Director of the programme. Professor Hefei Wang, Deputy Dean of International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at XJTLU; Xiangyu Hu, Associate Dean for Executive Education and Enterprise; Ying Jin, Business Development Director; Dr Xiao Wang, Director of Executive Education and Enterprise; Dr Xuanwei Cao from the Department of Strategic Management and Organisation, together with the IBSS Executive Education team and marketing team, attended the ceremony to witness participants’ learning outcomes.
A highlight video of the programme was screened at the opening of the ceremony, revisiting precious moments including in‑class discussions, corporate site visits and group collaboration throughout the training.

Professor Hefei Wang, Deputy Dean of IBSS, delivered the graduation address. She congratulated all participants on completing the intensive four‑week study. Citing the viewpoint of XJTLU’s President, she encouraged participants: “The future world has no ready‑made answers; managers should learn to create solutions.”
Professor Wang noted that business operations are confronted with multiple challenges stemming from geopolitical shifts, AI transformation, risk governance and sustainable development. Management education focuses on enabling participants to move from knowledge acquisition to wisdom generation. The multi‑themed curriculum is not designed to produce all‑round specialists. Instead, it aims to help participants broaden analytical perspectives, dig into root causes and integrate diverse resources when tackling complex business issues.
She encouraged participants with three keywords: curiosity, connection and action. Managers should maintain an inquiring mindset in leadership roles; align strategy with execution, technology with people, and local practice with global vision to foster cross‑departmental synergy; and translate acquired knowledge into real‑world business decision‑making. She expressed the hope that graduation is not an end, but a new starting point for the learning community jointly built by IBSS and CRRC. Participants are welcome to return to campus for exchanges and co‑creation with practical challenges from their work.
Two participant representatives delivered speeches in succession.

Jianbo Zhao, Deputy Plant Manager of the Final Assembly Branch at CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd., spoke on behalf of participants. He reviewed the training journey from three dimensions: reconstruction of knowledge systems, upgrading of management thinking and formation of precious peer bonds. Comprehensive business administration modules together with corporate mobile classroom sessions built a systematic management knowledge framework. The action‑learning project running through the whole programme facilitated participants’ transformation from knowledge acquisition to practical application. Teams worked on real‑world corporate topics, and the graduation presentations demonstrated tangible outcomes of integrating theories with practice. He thanked CRRC for establishing this high‑level learning platform, IBSS faculty for their dedicated instruction, and fellow participants for mutual support. He called on all participants to translate insights gained into concrete actions for driving the high‑quality development of the enterprise.

Xiaoyuan Wei, Head of the Operation and Finance Department at CRRC Tangshan Company, shared her reflections. She stated that systematic training helped her break conventional mindsets and examine business work from holistic and professional angles, while identifying gaps in her own cognition. The curriculum is well‑aligned with the diversified business and job requirements of central state‑owned enterprises. She was deeply impressed by the positive class atmosphere where participants remained modest, eager‑to‑learn and ready to learn from one another. She wished CRRC enduring prosperity and expected IBSS to continuously deliver high‑quality educational resources to empower corporate talent development.
The certificate‑awarding session followed, with participants coming on stage in turn to receive their graduation certificates. The ceremony concluded with a group photo of all attendees, preserving precious memories of this learning journey.
Jointly organised by CRRC and International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at XJTLU, this custom‑tailored programme targets key management personnel from CRRC. Its curriculum covers core modules including macroeconomics, strategic management, financial management, supply‑chain operation, human resources, international business, cross‑border investment and financing, ESG and AI‑enabled transformation. Adopting an immersive teaching model combining classroom lectures, action‑learning workshops and benchmark‑enterprise site visits, participants completed theoretical coursework, corporate visits, research projects and action‑learning presentations amid busy professional commitments, achieving reconstruction of management knowledge and upgrading of thinking patterns.
This programme constitutes an important initiative for deepening university‑enterprise collaborative talent development between CRRC and IBSS. Going forward, both sides will further tap into the potential of industry‑university‑research integration, and jointly cultivate versatile management talents with solid practical experience and broad global vision, empowering the high‑quality development of the enterprise.
