Dr. Samiullah Paracha holds a PhD and a Postdoc with a specialism in digital education from the Faculty of Technology, University of Sunderland. His specific areas of research encompass VR, AI, Game-based Learning, Learning Analytics, HCI and Digital Peace. Samiullah led several cross sectoral and multidisciplinary research projects at national and international levels whilst working with the UNO, JICA, NPOs and eminent universities in Europe, Asia and Africa. He loves participatory design and is very keen to involve students as co-designers and partners in the research process. He has over 45 graduate completions and some of his graduate students received the highest distinctions in Japan. He is serving as an editor of two journals i.e., Frontiers in Public Health Journal and American Journal of Education and Information Technology. His scholarly work has received Gold Medals (IIER), Silver Shields, Best Research Paper Awards (IEEE, IEEJ, IIER) and First Prize Paper Awards (IEEE). Samiullah is actively engaged in knowledge exchange activities, working with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe, Africa and Asia particularly in the creative, digital, and IT sectors to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
