Dr. Fan Zhang joined the School of Robotics at XJTLU as an Assistant Professor in Aug. 2023.

Dr. Zhang is an inter-disciplinary researcher with a multi-disciplinary background in Mechanical Engineering and Automation (B.Eng. at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, CN), Robotics (M.Sc. with Distinction at King’s College London, UK), and Material Perception (Ph.D. at TU Delft, NL).

Prior to joining XJTLU, Dr. Zhang worked as an external Postdoctoral Researcher for Procter & Gamble (DE) in Multisensory Perception and Consumer Knowledge research from Dec.2018 to Jun.2019, and later as Research Fellow for University of Birmingham (UK) in Computational Modelling and Cognitive Robotics since Dec. 2019.
