Profile

Dr. Samuel Kwok is an accomplished professional accountant, an entrepreneur, and a professional doctorate on Work-Based Learning. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants Worldwide, a Fellow of ICAEW, ACCA, HKICPA, and an Academic Fellow of the Association of International Accoutant-UK. Samuel is an international certified eCommerce specialist(ICEC-USA) and is appointed as an Industry Expert by the Suzhou Science & Technology Bureau.

Samuel is a Council member of GLG Research, USA. He dedicating his career on developing professional advisory services to equity fund, government, NGO and private enterprise. He has been a CFO and a General manager of two public companies in Asia. Before joining IBSS in September, 2016; Dr. Kwok run his own consultancy firm mainly on building up cross-border business development strategies for projects. He has acted as: - the lead consultant of the Chinese Gold and Silver Exchange Society of Hong Kong assisting to found the 'Shenzhen-Hong Kong Gold Connect'. - the chief consultant of the Sino-Swiss Eco-Industrial Park, Zhenjiang and organized a Press Conference for the Ministry of Commerce of China Government in 2014 at Basel, Switzerland. and - an expert member of the Consumer Right Protection Council of the Hangzhou city government.

He focuses on Work-Based Learning research. Book, chapter, articles and Conference presentation are published on the topics of Industry Analysis, Advance Auditing practice, and e-luxury branding management practice. Instead of perfecting the know, he is opening up a new research direction on Brand Culture management in Narrative Policy Framework research. He won the Best Paper award from the Shanghai Gold Exchange, and won a Teaching Excellence Award from an UK Accountancy body.

Dr. Kwok serves as a board member of the External Outreach Committee of IBSS. Besides serving the Executive Education of IBSS, he is the Director of the MSc Professional Accounting programme. He is always a watch connoisseur and aficionados of fine horology.
