In 2026, we will mark the 20th anniversary of XJTLU—a milestone in our journey of education, innovation, and community. To honour this achievement, we’re embarking on an inspiring journey to create the official XJTLU Anthem, a tribute to our history, culture, and achievements.
We are seeking talented individuals—XJTLU students and staff—to join the XJTLU Anthem Project Team, a collaborative effort between our university community and top professionals in the music production industry.

As a team member, you’ll work alongside industry experts, learn from their insights, and witness the anthem’s creation from start to finish. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on XJTLU’s legacy!
Positions Available
Team members will be actively involved in the creation and production process from December 2024 through to May 2026. You are expected to meet once every two weeks, with each session lasting around one hour. Before you submit your application, please ensure that you have thoroughly assessed your availability to commit to this schedule.
Sound Engineer
- Shape the anthem’s audio production and ensure it meets professional standards.
- Collaborate with composers, vocalists, and musicians.
Visual Artist
- Create stunning visuals that embody XJTLU’s identity and the anthem’s theme.
- Design logos, promotional materials, and digital assets.
Research Assistant
- Delve into XJTLU’s history and values to inspire the anthem.
- Gather feedback from students, staff, and alumni.
Vocalist
- Provide demo vocals that guide the anthem’s tone and emotion.
- Collaborate with the composer to bring the anthem to life.
What We’re Looking For
Sound Engineer (1 position)
- Expertise in audio recording, mixing, and mastering.
- A portfolio of relevant projects in music production.
- Problem-solving and collaborative skills.
Visual Artist (1 position)
- Creativity and ability to reflect XJTLU’s identity through visuals.
- Experience in graphic design or branding projects.
- Proficiency in design tools and collaboration skills.
Research Assistant (1 position)
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Organisation and documentation abilities.
- A team player who excels in coordination.
Vocalist (multiple positions)
- Exceptional vocal skills with versatility in style.
- Experience in music projects or competitions.
- Passion for interpreting music and lyrics.

If the size of the attachment(s) exceeds 20MB, please provide a BOX download link. Kindly note that applicants who do not send emails in the required format may not pass the initial screening.
- Interview process: Candidates who pass the initial screening will be invited to attend an in-person interview within two weeks after submitting their application. The exact date and location will be notified separately.
