On the afternoon of March 27th 2024, International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) hosted the 2024 IBSS Spring Job Fair in the BS Building lobby. The event served as a vital bridge between students and employers, enabling face-to-face communication. The fair attracted 37 leading companies from various industries, including HSBC, Jabil Technology, NIO, Deloitte, Ruhlamat, etc. These companies offered over 450 internships and full-time positions across multiple sectors such as finance, technology, automotive and accounting, offering broad career opportunities for IBSS graduates and students.
This event was organised by the IBSS Work Placement, Employability and Career Development Team (WEC) with Ms. Yahong Cai, the work placement officer, as the event’s host. Prof. Jorg Bley, Dean at IBSS, delivered the welcome speech, setting the tone for this event. Dr. Nimesh Salike, Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching, then introduced the WEC team and welcomed the corporate representatives.

During the job fair, the communications between students and company HR professionals were very fruitful. Companies provided students with detailed job responsibilities, benefits and compensations, corporate culture, and opportunities for career development. They also shared in-depth conversations with students about their career planning. According to the collected data, there were over 500 students who attended the event, with companies collecting more than 1,000 CVs. This clearly demonstrated the students' proactive pursuit of career development and showcased their excellent qualities to potential employers.
IBSS Spring Job Fair successfully provided a productive channel for talent acquisition and student professional growth. It enabled students to gain deeper insights into industry dynamics, which is essential for making crucial career decisions. Our corporate partners expressed high appreciation for IBSS students as well as interest for further collaborations. In the future, IBSS will continue to enhance the connection between students and employers in the pursuit of cultivating outstanding professional talents.
