Recently, the well-respected international academic website, Research.com published its list of top scientists worldwide for 2024, covering 26 scientific disciplines and taking into account important indicators such as the D-Index (disciplinary H-Index) and the total number of citations of papers.

Professor Alan Kaluev from the Department of Biological Sciences at the School of Science, XJTLU was ranked once again as the 1st in Russia and 1280th in the world on the 2024 Research.com list of top scientists in the field of neuroscience.

Research.com is one of the world's leading academic research portals, providing reliable data on scientific contributions since 2014. Formerly known as Guide2Research, it has been rebranded as Research.com since February 2022 and releases the top scientists ranking every year.

Scientists are ranked based on the D-Index, which is the disciplinary H-Index derived from information collected by OpenAlex and CrossRef, two reputable bibliometric databases in the scientific community.

To be included in the list, scholars in the field of neuroscience must have a D-Index higher than 30, significant contributions to the field, personal awards, and past achievements. This ensures that only the top 1% of scientists are included in the list.
