【Event Review】SCT Alumni Experience Sharing session: How to apply for graduate school? Let's learn about the whole process of study abroad

On May 14, 2024, the School of Cultural Technology held a wonderful sharing meeting for senior students and invited two senior guests to share their experiences in applying for graduate studies and study abroad in art. The purpose of this event is to provide students with valuable experience in applying for graduate studies and studying abroad and to help them achieve a higher level in their future studies and careers.

01 Yansen Wang
Yansen Wang, a graduate of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University majoring in ATE in 2023, has a wealth of study and internship experience. He studied at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), majoring in Global Media and Communications, and has accumulated a wealth of internship experience, including internships at well-known companies such as Tencent Tianmei Studio, NetEase Entertainment, Tiger Beat and BenQ. During his time in school, Yansen not only excelled academically, winning two consecutive full prizes but also won the Best Graduation Design Award and the Best Academic Performance Award in the ATE program. In this seminar, he shared his experience in theoretical media application, creative media application, internship and research, and had an in-depth discussion and exchange with students.

 

02 Ruonan Fan
Ruonan Fan, also a graduate of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University majoring in ATE in 2023, has had an even more diverse artistic experience. She is currently studying at UCL-Bartlett School of Architecture, majoring in Design for Performance and Interaction, and has accumulated a wealth of practical experience as a visual designer at Xiaomi Group. Fan Ruonan shared her insights on the application process of art study abroad, portfolio preparation, and selection of different majors and colleges, and answered students' questions in detail.

 

Summary 

The colorful content shared by the seniors provided students with valuable experience in applying for graduate school and studying abroad. Through this sharing session, students not only gained practical application skills but also expanded their understanding of art study abroad, which was very beneficial. The School of Cultural Technology will continue to organize similar activities to provide students with more academic and career guidance and help them realize their dreams.
