Victor (Vik) Pérez, Associate Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University’s Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Hub (EEH), has been appointed Chief Editor of the first-ever Encyclopedia of Neuro- Entrepreneurship. The landmark publication will be  published by World Scientific, a  globally recognized academic publisher that collaborates with the Nobel Foundation to publish the Nobel Lectures series — reflecting its esteemed role in advancing scientific and scholarly communication.

This seminal six-volume reference work will bring together 45 international contributors spanning the fields of neuroscience, entrepreneurship, psychology, education, technology, and philosophy. The encyclopedia aims to define and consolidate the emerging discipline of Neuro-Entrepreneurship, exploring how brain science and cognitive processes shape entrepreneurial behavior, creativity, learning, and performance.

"This encyclopedia will serve as a living map for a new generation of scholars and educators," says Pérez. "By bridging neuroscience and entrepreneurship, we seek to understand how human potential can be cultivated more consciously and ethically in the age of AI."

Under Dr Pérez's leadership, the editorial team includes six volume editors representing institutions in Japan, Canada, and the UK, underscoring the project's global collaborative nature. The work will outline the field's foundational theories, research methodologies, and practical applications—ranging from brain-based learning and neuro-decision tools to AI-enhanced entrepreneurial education.

This prestigious appointment further strengthens XJTLU's international reputation in theory-grounded, practice-led innovation, enhancing the University's global influence in entrepreneurship education and interdisciplinary research.
