The Triangle Neuroscience Symposia on Glia, Stress and Translational Neurobiology, were held September 20-23, 2025, at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in Suzhou. Hosted by the School of Science at XJTLU, the symposia brought together leading national and international researchers, academics, and students from various institutions to explore the latest advancements in neuroscience. Organized collaboratively by XJTLU with Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (ZCMU), and Jiaxing University, the event aimed to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration in the field of neuroscience.

The symposium featured a diverse array of sessions, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and poster presentations. Renowned experts in neuroscience delivered insightful keynote addresses, covering topics such as glia, neurochemistry, neuroplasticity, neurodegenerative diseases, and the impact of stress on brain function. These presentations provided attendees with a comprehensive overview of current research trends and future directions in neuroscience.
The presentations were particularly vibrant, showcasing a wide range of research conducted by students and early-career researchers, including 6 members of Academy of Europe and several members of National Academies. Participants had the opportunity to present their findings, receive feedback, and engage in discussions with peers and established scientists. This platform not only facilitated knowledge exchange but also helped foster connections among attendees, promoting future collaborations.
In addition to the academic activities, the symposium provided ample networking opportunities. Participants were encouraged to connect during coffee breaks and social events, including tours to the Tiger Hill, Suzhou opera and the boat canal cruise. Attendees had the chance to explore the city’s historical sites, including the famous classical gardens and the picturesque canals, enhancing their overall experience.
Sponsored by XJTLU School of Science, the Triangle Neuroscience symposia were a resounding success, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and networking among neuroscience researchers and students. The event underscored the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue in advancing the field of neuroscience and set the stage for future collaborations among the participating institutions. The event also markedly strengthened national and international visibility of biomedical research at XJTLU.
