Recently, Dr. Izhar Oswaldo Escudero Ornelas, the Assistant Professor from School of Internet of Things, XJTLU, visited the Instituto Tecnológico Superior del Occidente del Estado de Hidalgo (ITSOEH) and the Instituto Tecnológico de Pachuca in Mexico, strengthening our ties with key global partners.
Syntegrated Education (SE) in Action
These visits provided an excellent opportunity to showcase our unique Syntegrative Education (SE) model, a cornerstone of the curriculum at XJTLU's Taicang Campus (XEC). Through Syntegrative Education model, students acquire invaluable hands-on, real-world experience by collaborating directly with our industry and institutional partners. This profound practical engagement equips our graduates to tackle complex global challenges effectively upon graduation.
Global Impact
A joint team of outstanding students from the XJTLU School of Internet of Things, ITSOEH, and the Instituto Tecnológico de Pachuca, worked together on a research project on "AI-Driven Predictive Health Digital Twin for Industrial Robot Arms,". They have been invited to participate in the "Dream-Chasers" Global Entrepreneurship Competition at XJTLU. This project perfectly embodies the applied, practical, and innovative spirit championed through our Syntegrated Education model. The interdisciplinary and cross-border collaboration has also sparked new synergies for the project.
Fostering Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship
During the visit to the Instituto Tecnológico de Pachuca, Dr. Escudero Ornelas also delivered a key lecture to the Industrial and Design Engineering students. He provided practical advice on structuring a curriculum vitae to seize opportunities in a competitive global job market, further inspiring students to pursue paths in academia, research, and innovation.
