The 2026 XJTLU Postgraduate Research Symposium has concluded, with PhD students from International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at XJTLU delivering an impressive performance, among more than 550 young researchers from 13 universities in China and around the world. Their achievements reflect the strength of doctoral education at IBSS.
At the symposium, IBSS PhD student Huan Wang was awarded the Best Poster Presentation Award in recognition of her exceptional research and presentation. In addition, Yue Zhu received the Excellent Poster Presentation Award, while Haojun Ji, Lu Peng, and Yutong Song were jointly awarded with the Excellent Oral Presentation Award.

Reflecting on his experience, Huan Wang said: "I am deeply grateful for the continued support and guidance from my supervisor and the School. The Symposium was not only an opportunity to present my research but also a platform for meaningful exchange with scholars from diverse disciplines. Receiving this award encourages me to stay committed to my academic journey with even greater confidence."
Professor Eddy Fang, Dean of IBSS and Professor in the Department of Intelligent Operations and Marketing, is Huan Wang’s supervisor. He expressed his pride in his accomplishment and shared his insights on the development of doctoral students in business and management disciplines.
"I am truly delighted to see Huan receive this recognition," said Professor Fang. "In cultivating PhD students in business and management, I believe it is essential to help them develop the ability to identify theoretically valuable research questions from real-world business phenomena. Our goal is not only to guide them through a research project but also to nurture their growth as independent scholars—strengthening their critical thinking, academic resilience, and capacity for cross-disciplinary collaboration. The Postgraduate Research Symposium serves as an excellent training ground, simulating the full spectrum of communication, presentation and peer review that they will encounter in their future academic careers. I am very proud of all IBSS students who participated. They demonstrated not only solid academic skills but also the confidence and vitality expected of emerging scholars."
The Symposium featured Poster Presentation Session and Oral Presentation Session, providing a valuable platform for cross-disciplinary exchange and intellectual dialogue. IBSS remains committed to cultivating future business leaders and scholars with a global perspective, innovative spirit, and strong academic integrity. The outstanding performance of IBSS doctoral students at this year’s symposium is a testament to the School’s dedication to this mission.
IBSS extends its warmest congratulations to all the award-winning and participating PhD students. We look forward to seeing their continued achievements in the years ahead.
