Recently, the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS) at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, in collaboration with S-Tron China, a leading innovation and technology culture platform in Asia, successfully organized the TechTrek company visit in Shanghai. A total of 15 international students from 10 countries went to Shanghai for a journey of company visits and industry exchange activities. Focusing on artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization, this event brought students to three innovative technology companies and international innovation communities in Shanghai, offering them first-hand exposure to the rapid development and dynamic innovation of China’s technology industry.

The first stop of the visit was GenPark, an innovative company specializing in AI-driven e-commerce and digital marketing. During the session, Mr Guoqiang Pang, founfer of GenPark, introduced students the applications of generative AI in content creation, brand communication, and consumer engagement. Students also gained insights into how companies are leveraging intelligent agents, personalized recommendations, and AI-generated content to improve marketing efficiency and better connect with global consumers, especially Gen Z audiences. Through company presentations and case studies, students developed a more direct understanding of how AI is reshaping global business models and accelerating the integration of technology and commerce.

The group then visited MemTensor, a next-generation AI company focusing on large models and AI memory systems. MemTensor introduced its exploration and practices in memory-augmented intelligence, low-hallucination models, and personalized AI systems. The company also shared insights into the industrial applications of artificial intelligence and the future development of intelligent systems. Through discussions with the company team, students gained a deeper understanding of the rapid development of China’s AI industry, its technological innovation capabilities, and the commercialization of AI technologies.

The final stop of the event was S-Cave, S-Tron China’s innovation community space. Designed as both an event venue and a community hub, S-Cave aims to foster cross-border innovation and vibrant community building. During the session, S-Tron’s Ecosystem Director, Chris Zhou, introduced the platform’s mission, global network, and core initiatives, offering students a deeper understanding of how S-Tron connects innovation ecosystems across borders.

The IBSS × S-Tron China TechTrek company visit not only provided international students with valuable opportunities to engage directly with China’s technology industry and innovation ecosystem, but also further strengthened collaboration between academia and industry. Through on-site visits and face-to-face interactions, students were able to connect classroom learning with real-world industry practices, deepening their understanding of artificial intelligence and entrepreneurship while gaining valuable experience for their future academic and professional development.

Special thanks to Chris Pang from GenPark; Yun Chen, Zehao Lin, and Ruiqi Hong from MemTensor; Chris Zhou, Yutian Cai, Artem Gavronov, Jinqian Xie, Linya Liang, Wenbei Li, and Anita Luo from the S-Tron China team, as well as Hailu Hou and Yahong Cai from IBSS for their support in making this event possible.
