School of Internet of Things Successfully hosted the 'AIoT+X Industry Alliance 2026' event

On 30 May 2026, the School of Internet of Things at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University hosted the 'AIoT+X Industry Alliance' event at the Innovation Factory, bringing together experts from academia and industry to explore the theme 'From IoT to the Internet of Intelligence: Building an AIoT+X Innovation Ecosystem for Education, Research and Industry.' Professor Dijiang Huang, Dean of the School, outlined the School's vision of constructing an AIoT+X ecosystem for the AI-native era, encompassing education pathways, research clusters, the IoI-OS platform, and the I3C Industry Co-Creation Center, whilst emphasising the imperative of cultivating engineers capable of designing, deploying, and governing future intelligent systems. Two panel discussions followed, addressing university-industry partnerships and enterprise-academic research collaboration, with panellists sharing diverse perspectives on student startups, curriculum development, joint training, and bridging industry needs with academic research. Professor Huang subsequently announced the official launch of the 'AIoT+X Strategic Co-Creation Programme' featuring a 'Seed Package' mechanism, alongside the International Conference on Computing, IoT and Control Engineering scheduled for 11–13 December 2026.
