Artificial intelligence is reshaping the environments in which people think, learn, make decisions and perform.
This question was at the centre of Dr Victor (Vik) Perez’s invited keynote, “The Future of Human Performance: Neuroscience, AI, and Entrepreneurial Cognition,” delivered at the 2026 International Conference on Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Change Management (Interdisciplinary) on 25 June 2026.
Organised by Knowledge Steez Edu Hub (India) in collaboration with Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi, and Management & Science University (Malaysia), the conference brought together researchers, educators, entrepreneurs, policymakers and industry professionals to explore developments across entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation and artificial intelligence.

At the centre of the keynote was Perez’s Cognitive Conditions Perspective, a framework that shifts attention towards the environments and interactions shaping human attention, learning, judgement and entrepreneurial capability in AI-rich settings, offering a perspective for designing more human-centred AI environments.
“The integration of AI into learning and work is reshaping the environments in which people think and perform,” said Perez. “The Cognitive Conditions Perspective asks how we can intentionally design those environments to strengthen human capability.”
The keynote reflects XJTLU’s interdisciplinary approach to research and its engagement with emerging questions around AI, entrepreneurship, education and human performance.
