On 30 September 2026, Times Higher Education published an article covering XJTLU’s transformative role in higher education. Titled "Celebrating 20 years of pioneering future-orientated education", the article features an interview with Professor Youmin Xi, Executive President of XJTLU, and highlights significant milestones from the past two decades.
Drawing on XJTLU's response to the Covid-19 pandemic through the development of the Learning Mall, Professor Xi comments on how AI poses the next technological challenge the University is prepared to face.
