Advanced Materials Research Centre (AMRC) was founded in 2024 at XJTLU, and it will serve as a hub for research in materials development and innovation in core strategic areas at national and international levels. The research centre will focus on developing innovative materials with advanced properties and applications, such as semiconductor materials, biomaterials, and materials for energy and the environment. The AMRC aims to provide a teaching, training and research platform to nurture a collaborative environment for students and researchers on cutting-edge research projects from different fields and disciplines, including physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, computing, and engineering. The research centre will seek to establish close partnerships with leading universities, research institutions and industry partners in China and abroad, aims to achieve a widespread commercialization and application of advanced materials in diversified industries. The establishment of the AMRC will create the opportunities to collaborate on cutting-edge research projects with researchers from different fields and disciplines and, through the integration of existing and planned resources, to tackle complex challenges that push the boundaries of scientific knowledge and impact societal development and prosperity at large.
