ASRC is anchored in high-level platform development, with a core focus on attracting and nurturing high-calibre talent. It prioritises the cultivation of full-chain teams spanning basic research-pilot verification-industrial services to continuously enhance its scientific research competitiveness and support the national strategic layout of China’s third-generation semiconductor industry.
Director: Professor Bo Shen
Professor Bo Shen is a Changjiang Distinguished Professor and a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He has long been engaged in research on wide-bandgap semiconductors, presided over more than 20 major national projects, such as the 973 Program and 863 Program, and received prestigious awards including the Second Prize of the National Technology Invention Award and the Second Prize of the National Natural Science Award. He has published more than 400 papers and holds over 80 patents.
Executive Director: Senior Associate Professor Wen Liu
Dr Wen Liu is Chair of the IEEE CASS-EDS Joint Chapter Suzhou, and Deputy Director of the Youth Innovation Promotion Committee of the China Advanced Semiconductor Industry Innovation Alliance (CASA). Dr Liu has led and participated in over 10 projects at various levels, authored or co-authored more than 50 journal papers and 60 conference papers, and applied for over 20 patents, 13 of which have been authorised.
Research Team
The research team comprises 24 full-time faculty members including four professors, four senior associate professors, five associate professors and 11 assistant professors, along with over 40 Master’s and PhD candidates. The team covers the semiconductor full-chain R&D capabilities spanning materials, devices, circuits, and testing. (The roster is continuously expanding and being updated.)
