Jiangsu Province Higher Education Key Laboratory of Cell Therapy Nanoformulation (Construction), was approved by the Jiangsu Education Department in 2024. Cell therapy is a promising sector in today’s biopharmaceutical industry. In this emerging field, cells such as stem cells and immune cells are utilized as therapeutic tools, achieving therapeutic effects that traditional drugs cannot. In the treatment using mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and other types of cells, intracellular gene delivery technology plays a critical role. This laboratory takes formulation technology as the entry point, combines with the development of other related technologies, and researches nanoparticle technology for intracellular gene delivery targeting cell therapy applications to achieve excellent overall effects of cell therapy. Cell therapy and nanomedicine are two frontier areas of national and provincial key development. The work of this laboratory is positioned at the intersection of these two fields, focusing on pain points, organically combining basic research and application development, which can effectively promote the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry in the country and the province.
